SHE HAS BEEN ON THE STAFF THERE FOR 13 YEARS SHE IS CURRENTLY PURSUING A DOCTORAL DEGREE AND IS MARRIED TO HER WONDERFUL HUSBAND ROBERT THEY HAVE FOUR BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN AND A GREAT SON-IN-LAW SHE LOVES MEETING PEOPLE IN A LIFESTYLE OF DISCIPLESHIP, WRITING AND TEACHING BIBLE STUDY. WORD FOR WORD HE SAID AFTER READING THE PROCLAMATION PROPOSED BY TH TOWNSHIP OF THE WOODLANDS, THEY BELIEVE THIS PROCLAMATION IGNORES THAT VIOLENCE OCCURS ON THE FORCE AND IT APPEARS TO DO THIS MORE THAN IT DOES ON VIOLENCE. WE MUST ADVOCATE FOR THIS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE WE KNO THAT IT HAS HELPED SAVE LIVES AND STOPPED ACTS OF VIOLENCE. WOODLANDS CRIME RATE APPEARS TO BE VERY LOW IN COMPARISON TO MANY OTHER SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. GUN OWNERS OF AMERICA DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS PROCLAMATION THAT IMPLIES THAT GUNS ARE THE PROBLEM AND NOT TH OFFENDERS WHO COMMIT THE CRIMES WE HOPE THE TOWNSHIP OF THE WOODLANDS WILL REWORD THE LANGUAGE TO SUPPORT ANY AND ALL FORMS AS POSSIBLE WORKING FORWARD ON THIS PROCLAMATION. I SUPPORT WHAT THE GUN OWNERS OF AMERICA HAVE SAID. ON A PERSONAL NOTE, MY SON WORKS FOR THE MCGOVERN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE. I AM GOOD FRIENDS WITH THE SHERIFF AND I WILL NOT DRAG HIM INTO THIS. BUT THESE KIND O PROCLAMATIONS LEADS TO AND UNJUST AND VILIFYING OF A GUN RATHER THAN THE BAD GUYS WHO US THOSE GUNS. THOSE KINDS OF THINGS NEED TO HAVE RED FLAG LAWS THAT LEAD TO PEOPLE WHO GE KILLED. MANY BECAUSE SOMEONE CALLS IN A BAD RED FLAG REPORT. VILIFYING A GUN IS STUPID. THE WINNING OF TH FIRST YARD OF THE MONTH WAS 27 HOBBIT GLENN DRIVE AND WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR THE NOMINATIONS AND WILL MAKE THE NEXT AWARD IN A FEW DAYS. WE DID A NOTICE OF INTENT AND WHAT WE FOUND WAS A LOT OF SYNERGY FOR THIS PROJECT. PARTICULARLY WITH THE BIKE PEDESTRIAN MASTER PLAN AND THE SCORING CRITERIA WHICH IS BETTER THAN ANY GRANTS THAT WE HAVE LOOKED AT BEFORE PARTICULARLY THROUGH THE HDC PROGRAM. THIS IS ONE OF THE EARLY MAPS THAT WE HAVE SIGHTIN WHERE THE POSITIVE CONDUCTIVITY WOULD BE ESPECIALLY AS WE LOOK AT THE CORE DOOR WITH THE TEMPLES AND THE SHOPPING AREAS.

AND ONE OF THE KEY POINTS IS ISOLATED COMMUNITIES. ONE OF TH ISOLATED COMMUNITIES IS HARPER' LANDING AND YOU HEARD THE VILLAGE ASSOCIATION SHOWS SUPPORT FROM THIS ON THE PODIUM AS WELL AS OTHER MEMBERS OF THE BOARD AS WELL. SEEING THAT THER IS A NEED AS WELL AS THE FOLKS ON THE NORTH SIDE OF STATE HIGHWAY 242. THE BOARD DID APPROVE TWO MONTHS AGO SO IT HA MOVED VERY QUICKLY. ON MA 11TH THERE WERE A NUMBER OF YOU AT THE OPEN HOUSE WITH 40 DIFFERENT COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND IT WAS VERY POSITIVE SUPPORT COMING OUT FOR THIS PROJECT. WE WERE VERY PLEASED BY THAT. THE GRANT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS IS LOOKING AT THE SAFETY ISSUES.

YOU CAN SEE ANOTHER SMALL MAP HERE REALLY GOING THROUGH AND IDENTIFYING ANALYZING WITH THE SAFETY CONCERNS ON THE CROSSING ARE AND LARGER SAFETY CONCERNS COMING AROUND 45 AND 242 INTERSECTION AND HOW WE CAN CONTINUE TO GET PEOPLE ACROSS.

AS YOU GET INTO THIS AREA THERE IS A RAILROAD CROSSING THAT BECOMES QUITE THE CHALLENGE. TH DEVELOPMENT ARE MODIFICATIONS THAT NEED TO BE MADE SO EVERYTHING NEEDS BE PACKAGE BY JUNE 5TH SO WE HAVE 10 DAYS AND WE ARE STILL TRYING TO WORK THROUGH ALL OF THE DETAILS. THAT SECTION MAY NOT BE ABLE TO BE SUBMITTED AS PART OF THIS GRANT. AND WE DO NOT WANT TO SUBMIT IT WITH THE GRANT BECAUSE IT WOULD CHALLENGE OUR ABILITY TO ACTUALLY HAVE PROJEC FUNDING. SO WE MAY HAVE TO MAKE SOME DECISIONS BETWEEN NOW AND WHAT IS AVAILABLE TO PUT THE BEST FOOT FORWARD FOR THE TOWNSHIP. THERE'S $250 MILLION IN THE POT BUT IT GOES FAST AS WE ARE REQUESTING 8.5 MILLION. SAW TODAY THAT CF CONROE IS LOOKING AT THAT SAME POT OF MONEY WITH THE $6 MILLION REQUEST OUT THERE. WHAT THIS RESOLUTION IS LOOKING AT AND REALLY DIES, IT SAYS THAT IF TH TOWNSHIP WERE TO BE AWARDED THERE IS MONEY TO SUPPORT THIS. THE REASON WHY THEY DO THIS IS BECAUSE IT IS A COMMUNITY AND I HAS GONE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS SAYING WE NEVER AUTHORIZE THIS. WHAT WE ARE
