NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

TO:	THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE WOODLANDS TOWNSHIP AND TO ALL OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Directors will hold a Strategic Planning Session on March 3, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., at the office of The Woodlands Township, 2801 Technology Forest Blvd, The Woodlands, Texas, within the boundaries of The Woodlands Township, for the following purposes:

STANDARD ITEMS

Invocation / Pledge of Allegiance;

Call meeting to order;

Receive, consider and act upon adoption of the meeting agenda;

Recognize public officials;

Public comment;

REGULAR AGENDA

Receive, consider and act upon an overview of The Woodlands Township Strategic Plan;

Receive, consider and act upon an overview of the 2022 Parks and Recreation Needs Assessment;

Receive, consider and act upon an overview of the process for the 2024 budget;

Receive, consider and act upon an overview of the Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan;

Receive, consider and act upon an overview of One Water Task Force;

11.

Receive, consider and act upon a proposal to establish a Village Association Presidents’ Advisory Council to the Board of Directors (as requested by Director Franks);

12.

Receive, consider and act upon the initiative to expand public communications through videos and podcasts;

13.

Receive, consider and act upon filing a complaint regarding the theft of water resources at Cokeberry Pond (as requested by Director Sekula-Gibbs);

14.

Receive, consider and act upon a proposal to purchase space in the Community Impact Newspaper and authorize a budget amendment in connection therewith (as requested by Director Franks);

CLOSED MEETING (if applicable)

Recess to Executive Session to discuss matters relating to real property pursuant to §551.072, Texas Government Code; deliberation of economic development negotiations pursuant to §551.087, Texas Government Code; discuss personnel matters pursuant to §551.074, Texas Government Code; discuss IT network or critical infrastructure security pursuant to §551.089, Texas Government Code; and to consult with The Woodlands Township’s attorney pursuant to §551.071, Texas Government Code;

Reconvene in public session;
