WE EVER DELIGHTED TO SEE THE PROGRESS ON THE COMMUNITY INFORMED PROCESS TO IMPROVE THE CREEK SIDE GREEN KIRKEN DAHL INTERSECTION AND WE'RE FULLY SUPPORTIVE OF THE CHANGES TO IMPROVE SAFETY.

TUT TO DR. ANN SNYDER. THE DISTINCT BICYCLE MASTER PLAN CALLEDS FOR SEVERAL NORTH SOUTH AND EAST WEST PATH WAYS TO HELP RESIDENTS SAFELY MOVE THROUGH THE WOOD LANDS.

KIRK DAHL IS A HIGH PRIORITY CORRIDOR. PATH WAYS ALREADY EXIST ON KIRK DAHL BUT THERE ARE TWO GAPS, ONE BETWEEN TIM RON DRIVE AND CREEK SIDE FOREST DRIVE AND ONE BETWEEN RESEARCH FOREST DRIVE AND LAKEWOOD LANDS DRIVE WHICH CHEMICALS AILEDDEN BRIDGE AND MY NEIGHBORHOOD. THE ROUTE HAS AN ALTERNATIVE ROUTE ALTHOUGH IT'S ADMITTEDLY CIRCUITEDTOUS I'VE DEFINITELY GOTTEN LOST ON IT BUT IT TAKES A WHILE SO THIS IMPROVEMENT COULD BE A PRICK IMPROVEMENT. THE RESEARCH FOREST DRIVE AND WOOD HANDS DRIVE GAP HAS NO ALTERNATIVE ROUTE AND THAT SHOULD BE A HIGH PRIORITY. OUR ORGANIZATION HAS EXPRESSED SUPPORT FOR THIS IMPROVEMENT IN THE PAST. I LIVE IN WINDSOR HILL AND WE CHOSE TO LIVE THERE AND WE'VE LIVED WITH A LOT OF ADDITIONAL TRAFFIC SINCE WE HAVE BECOME MEDICAL STERNUM TWO. I'M OKAY WITH THAT. NOW, THE ISSUE IS THAT WE HAVE ALL BEEN A PART OF THE WOOD LANDS, WE BOUGHT INTO WHAT THE WOOD LANDS REPRESENTS, ITS AMENITIES, ITS LOOK, EVERYTHING THAT IT OFFERS IS INCLUDED WITH WINDSOR HILLS AND WE CONTINUE TO ENJOY THAT. NOW, THE PHYSICAL CHANGES THAT HAVE BEEN PROPOSED THROUGH TEX DEAD BOLT ASIDE FROM THE TRAFFIC LANES AND I'M SPECIFICALLY TALKING ABOUT THE SOUND WALL BARRIERS, I'M TALKING ABOUT THE THREE DETENTION POPPLEDS, THEY'RE GOING TO BE JUST OUTSIDE OUR DOOR. THIS IS NOT EXACTLY WHAT I SEE A MASTER PLAN COMMUNITY TO REFLECT AND I'M SURE A LOT OF MY NEIGHBORS DO NOT THINK THAT HAVING WALLS AND DETENTION PONDS SAT IS THE LOOK OF A MASTER PLAN COMMUNITY. IT GOES FROM I-45 ON 242 ALL THE WAY TO 1488 AND IT HAS PLANS FOR THREE DETENTION POSSIBILITIES.

TWO OF THOSE ACCOUNT FOR THE CLEARING OF 14.2 ACRES OF VALUABLE OLD GROWTH TREES.

THESE GREEN SPACES ACTUALLY HELP US BY BEING A NATURAL SOUND PROOFING BARRIER.

TEXDOT NATIONWIDE TO LOOK FOR OTHER SPOTS FOR THOSE DETENTION PONDS THAT DO NOT INVOLVE TAKING DOWN OUR TREES. I'M SURE THERE ARE MANY ANIMAL CORRIDORS AND SHELTERS USED BY THE ANIMALS COMING FROM THE FOREST.

HAS TEXDOT SPENT ANY MONEY AT ALL ON TRAFFIC LIGHT SYNCHRONIZATION? I REMEMBER I ASKED THAT ABOUT 1488 IF THEY HAD PURCHASED THAT FOR THEIR TRAFFIC LIGHTS AND THEY SAID THEY HAD NOT BECAUSE IT HAVE IT WAS TOO EXPENSIVE. AS HAS ALSO BEEN DISCUSSED ONE OF THE PAROLE PROPOSALS THAT CAME FORWARD IN THE ANALYSIS IS THE POTENTIAL THAT SOUND WALLINGS WOULD HAVE A POSITIVE IMPACT ON THE AREA. IF OR ONCE THE PROJECT IS ENVIRONMENTALLY CLEARED THE PROCESS WOW THAT TEX DEAD DEAD D HAVE A NOISE WORK SHOP AND THE RESIDENTS WILL VOTE ON WHETHER OR NOT THEY WANT THE CHOOSE SOUND WALLS OR NOT SO.
